How Art Can Help You Analyze?

In the video “How can art help you analyze” Amy E. Herman expresses the situations that art can help us to analyze and describe situations accurately, and to take the right steps. There are parts that I agree with her, but her statements are not quite convincing.
Firstly, I agree with her about art can enhance our perception. When you interact with art you might get different perspectives and think more deeply about the details. But these skills are already taught in police schools, law schools, and med school. A doctor who doesn’t interested in art is as qualified as their colleagues who are interested in art about their professions. Features such as correct diagnosis, successful crime scene investigation, or interrogating suspects are acquired through years of training.
Secondly, the presenter talks about how art can improve our ability to translate what we see to others. But she just points to this and does not show evidence about it. Of course, skill may be useful in real life, such as in the example of a victim describes the incident to the police. But she doesn’t actually explain how can a person got this skill by looking at art.
